Rockhe Kim’s
ANATOMY DRAWING CLASS
An introductory human anatomy drawing book for beginners of Rockhe Kim, published in Korea in 2019 and sold more than 100,000 copies.
Rockhe Kim has been giving drawing lectures on YouTube channel and worked on Marvel Comics. Especially in Korea, this book has become sensational and has established itself as a basic book for those who dream of becoming cartoon, character, and animation writers as well as drawing.
In 2023, this book has been reborn as an English edition and will head to the United States, the home of animation. It is hoped that this book would become a pioneer in promoting ‘K-Drawing’ not only in the United States but also around the world.

Rockhe wasn’t a genius, but at a certain time he began to resemble one. I felt happy just being able to observe a genius-in-the-making. Nonetheless, Rockhe needed an ample amount of time before he would showcase his drawings to the world. Now, that genius-in-the-making has made his know-how public and created a book. In the same way that a master will have a heroic vision that common people will never have imagined, this book will present a new world of anatomy drawing to many artists never before seen.

Rockhe Kim
저자 : Rockhe Kim
Rockhe Kim was highly interested in three dimensional sculptures and drawings since he was a little kid. He preferred superhero genres than Japanese cartoons, so he always watched Superman and Batman TV series on Sundays. As for the actors, he liked powerful characters with muscular bodies, just like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Hanging around with a friend whose dream was to become a cartoonist, naturally he started to dream of being a cartoonist himself as well. He gained practical experience from animation company and film storyboard company as he turned twenty years old, and draw as much as he would like to after he went to the university. From this portfolio he had built, he was selected as a writer for the national support projects and able to carve out a career in the U.S. comics industry and until now, he has been working nonstop by drawing various illustrations and concept art work for domestic and foreign market. He obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Comics and Animation Tech at Sejong University, and published the paper A Study on Features of Drawing American Superhero Comics. He participated in Batman series of Lotto Animations and film storyboards of the movie Castaway On The Moon(2009) and Blades Of Blood(2010). He won an excellence award in 8th Korea Comics Contest for his short animation JungSun Arirang, and was selected as a supporting writer for ‘K-Comics Global Co-creation Work’, sponsored by KOMACON(Korea Manhwa Contents Agency). He serialized the feature-length cartoon film X-FORCE in American comics MARVEL, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Infinity: Against The Tide for short cartoons. Some of his cover illustrations include: Age of Ultron, The Incredible HULK, Spider Man: Amazing Fantasy, Black Panther: Agents Of Wakanda and more. On top of that, he has worked for various domestic and foreign game concept art. He continues to work as an illustrator and is operating his Youtube channel of anatomy drawing, ‘Rockhe kim’.
